Things to see:
Franklin Institute
Explore the world of the past, present, and future at the Franklin Institute – one of the oldest science museums in the country and the original “interactive” museum experience.
Schuylkill River Trail
The Schuylkill River Trail is great for a stroll through the city or a scenic trek into the country. The 27 mile trail extends from Center City Philadelphia, through Valley Forge National Historical Park in Montgomery County to Phoenixville in Chester County. Check out the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk for some of the best skyline views around.
The Gayborhood
Our host hotel sits right in the middle of Philly’s Gayborhood, which offers many LGBT-owned spots for shopping, dining, and nightlife.
South Street
Known as the “edgiest street” in Philly, South Street is an eclectic mix of shops, food, and people. Known for music, nightlife, and general funkiness.
Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell
The birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, Independence Hall sits right next to the famous Liberty Bell. Don’t try to ring it. It’s broken.
Philadelphia Museum of Art
One of the largest art museums in the country, this one is a must-see. Plus, on Wednesday nights, you can name your price for admission!
Reading Terminal Market
Explore the nation’s oldest continuously operating farmers’ market. Shop from over 80 merchants and eat pretty much any food you could imagine. Which leads us to…

Federal Donuts
Philly has become a fried chicken destination. How, you ask? Some might say Federal Donuts. They serve three things: coffee, donuts, and chicken. What else do you really need?
Pizzeria Beddia
Bon Appetit called it the best pizza in America. Those are fightin’ words around here. Sitting in Fishtown, it’s only a 10 minute ride up the Market-Frankford Line. Go see what all the fuss is about.
And, of course, Cheesesteak.
