On Saturday night, the True Colors Fund, our parent organization, hosted the sixth annual Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays show to benefit our work to end lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth homelessness.
The night featured appearances and performances from Cyndi Lauper, Aloe Blacc, Ballets with a Twist, Grace VanderWaal, Judy Gold, Kate Bornstein, Mary Lambert, Maya Jupiter, Sara Ramirez, Sharon Van Etten, Oxymorrons, Theresa Caputo, Tyler Glenn, host Carson Kressley, and 2016 True Fellow Jawanza James Williams!
Home for the Holidays is the True Colors Fund’s single biggest fundraiser of the year – providing us with the much-needed funds to continue and expand our mission to end homelessness among LGBTQ youth. Going into 2017, your support is valued more than ever. Thankfully, because of our donors, sponsors, friends, and partners both young and old, our work is stronger than ever before. Our true colors shine bright.
Oh, and Cyndi Lauper wore a giant feather headdress. Worth it.
