Across the country, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) students are working hard toward a better future for themselves, their community, and our world. It’s up to use to ensure that future isn’t limited.
#Educate2impact week is an annual week of advocacy organized by the Point Foundation to raise support for equal access to education for all. The Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential through scholarships, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. During the 2017-2018 academic year, Point will support 72 Point Scholars and 25 Community College Scholar. We’re proud to have a 2016 Calamus Point Scholar on our team in our very own Chief Program Officer Ian Ellasante, who’s currently working toward a Ph.D. in American Indian Studies with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Arizona.
