June is Pride month, and we’re inviting people everywhere to stand in support of LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness.

We’re proud to to join Marriott International’s global #LoveTravels movement, which will benefit our work to end lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth homelessness. On Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9, celebrities, influencers, and local personalities are scheduled to stop by Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. to contribute to the collaborative #LoveTravels Mosaic. And we want to see you there!

For every original submission created on site, or shared online and tagged with #LoveTravels and #MyPride, a donation will be made to the True Colors Fund and Casa Ruby, which provides life-saving services and programs to LGBT folks in Washington, D.C. Just create a piece of art and post it with the hashtags: #LoveTravels and #MyPride!

It’s not only happening in D.C.! Seven Marriott International locations be holding ‘expression sessions’ during which guests can create their own piece of art to be included in the global #LoveTravels Mosaic, including:

  • Portland Marriott Downtown (Portland, Oregon)
  • Ritz Carlton Pentagon City (Pentagon City, Virginia)
  • Sau Paolo Renaissance (San Paolo, Brazil)
  • AC Hotel San Juan (San Juan, Puerto Rico)
  • Charlotte Marriott City Center (Charlotte, North Carolina)
  • Moxy New Orleans (New Orleans, Louisiana)
  • Sheraton Georgetown Texas Hotel & Conference Center (Georgetown, Texas)

You can also participate by creating a piece of art and posting it on Twitter or Instagram tagged with #LoveTravels and #MyPride.

We’re also proud to say that our True Innovation Fellowship is also being underwritten by Marriott International. The fellowship will provide one young person the opportunity to participate in the development of technology solutions that address homelessness among LGBTQ youth.

“At Marriott International, we believe that everyone deserves to feel welcome and be safe. We are proud to support the effort to address LGBTQ youth homelessness by renewing our commitment to Casa Ruby here in our nation’s capital, and by sponsoring a True Colors Fund fellowship for an LGBTQ young person who has experienced homelessness. This unique fellowship will focus on innovation and inclusion, a passion we share and foster every day at Marriott.”

We’re so thankful for the support of Marriott International and the individuals across the world who make this work possible.
