Every year at the 40 to None Summit, we’re proud to honor leaders working to end lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth homelessness. These dedicated individuals and communities are champions of our shared mission, give our movement momentum, and inspire us to reach to new heights.
Meet the 2017 True Award honorees:
Marc Dones
Through their work, Marc has helped uplift racial equity in the movement to end LGBTQ youth homelessness. We’re proud they’re here and grateful for the work they’ve accomplished.
Jasmine Hayes
In recent years, Jasmine has been instrumental in moving the needle on USICH’s new benchmarks and criteria on ending youth homelessness. Our movement is indebted to her leadership and service.
Grand Rapids
This year, we’re celebrating the community of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This year, local leaders spent time to do a comprehensive needs assessment before embarking on an in-depth process to develop a community plan to end LGBTQ youth homelessness. The grand Rapids Community group and steering committee have been dedicated and committed to the planning process and have made great strides ensure that no young person experiences homelessness in the community.
