MeUndies and the True Colors Fund Team Up for Your 2018 Pride Undies

We’re so excited to share that MeUndies is releasing a limited-edition design to support our work! Wear them with pride, knowing that your purchase supports our work to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

For Oscar Zaldaña, the designer behind the print, working on this design has been an outlet to express his true self. By putting a rainbow spin on camouflage, these undies dare you to stand out, rather than blend in.

If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be to not worry…someone will love exactly who you know you are, and those who don’t won’t be around long anyway. I haven’t always been kind to my body, but through the years I’ve learned to love the skin I’m in. No matter your weight, thin or muscular, male or female, trans or non-binary, it’ll always be just you and your BEAUTIFUL body. So, I’m going to challenge you to love it in every unique way it is. @meundies understands that bodies are to be cherished and celebrated, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with them to celebrate who I am in the body that I’ve been blessed with. #TrueColorsMoment #MeUndiesPartner

Say it louder for those in the back ! LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE. As we enter Pride month I just want to encourage each and every one of you, regardless of your sexual orientation, to practice empathy and COMPASSION. Love is the life-force of humanity. To experience romantic love with another human is such a rare and beautiful experience, we should not deny anyone its magic !!! A portion of these prideful undies support the True Colors Fund, which works to end youth homelessness in the LGBTQ community. If I were to travel back in time to tell my younger self a little message it would be to keep going with your intuition and never feel down about it. Some people won’t get what you are trying to do let alone who you are trying to become. The world isn’t so sure of itself so don’t listen to people who wont to tare you down they are most likely seeking happiness too. Be proud of who you are the way you entered this world for their are no mistakes to a perfect design. This #Pride I’m proud to be working with @meundies as part of their partnership with the True Colors Fund – an organization working to end homelessness among LGBTQ+ youth. More than 1 in 4 young LGBTQ+ people are thrown out of their homes after coming out to their family. Shunned for simply making the choice to be who they truly are. No home is safe when you aren’t free. No love is real if it isn’t wholly given. These brave young LGBTQ+ people are true heroes and while the rest of their world turns away from them, we need to turn towards them with open hearts. I know if I had the opportunity to talk to these young people I would tell them the same thing I would have told MY younger, self-hating, insecure, self: “You’re more powerful than you realize. Don’t listen to them, you belong.” Through the month of June, @meundies will be donating a percentage of proceeds from each pair of True Colors undies sold to the True Colors Fund. #TrueColorsMoment #MeUndiesPartner

Happy PRIDE month! I’ve started wearing my pride @meundies for class. I can’t help myself! I’m just so damn proud! I also crossed my fifth position, which is something to be proud of. – I’m proud af now, but when I was a teenager, I was ashamed of being gay. The only reason I came out was because my mom caught me making out with a fellow schoolmate in the driveway. Oops. ‍♂️ It was a blessing in disguise, since it made me finally accept my truth. That said, it took me years to love myself for who I am and to curb the shame that society imposed on me. I’ve always been a strong willed individual, but the bullying I endured as a child has lasted my whole life. – I walked to the theater yesterday for rehearsal and saw two high school boys holding hands outside of LaGuardia High. I nearly cried. As a teen, that’s something I never had the courage to do, except when I felt there was no one around. I’m grateful for the warriors that push people to open their minds and love without bounds. – I’m happy that I get to be who I am, and I’m glad I’ve learned to love who I am. – In partnership with @meundies, a portion of the proceeds from these undies will go towards the True Colors Fund. #TrueColorsMoment #meundiespartner
