Youth experiencing homelessness need your support.

As Congress prepares to fund our government, members on the hill in D.C. circulate a “Dear Colleague” letter to build consensus for the programs they support. This year, U.S. Representative Scott Peters (D-CA) is circulating a “Dear Colleague” letter to support the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). And, they need your help to urge members of Congress to sign on by April 2nd.

YHDP is a blueprint for communities, service providers, advocates, and policymakers. Ultimately, it reduces the number of youth experiencing homelessness by helping communities use resources more efficiently and effectively. For these reasons, continued funding for YHDP is crucial to ensuring that we can prevent and end youth homelessness for good.

Here’s how you can help.

Contact your member of Congress by April 2nd. Then, urge them to sign on to the Peters ‘Dear Colleague’ Letter to support funding the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program.
