If there’s one thing we can all agree on, its that life can get stressful. If we’re not taking care of ourselves, then we’re not living our best lives. Making time to practice self-care helps us balance stress levels and maintain our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. For us, it means centering ourselves personally and professionally so that we can do our best work. Ending lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth homelessness is a big goal, so it’s crucial that we find constructive outlets in which to process stress.

We challenge you to take 5 minutes today for self-care. Not sure how to begin? Try some alternative nostril breathing. At the 2015 40 to None Summit, True Fellow Thomas Wilson guided us through this simple way to clear your head and eliminate stress.

We want to hear your personal self-care tips too! Tell us how you self-care!
