Eziah Blake is a Black, Queer, Trans-theminine and nonbinary person originally from Boston, MA and a recent transplant to Atlanta, GA. As a trans youth who experienced housing instability, Eziah knows the importance of uplifting youth voices in issues that affect their lives. Prior to moving to Atlanta, they spent the last decade working with local LGBTQ organizations, such as BAGLY (Boston Alliance of LGBTQ Youth), Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, The Theater Offensive, and Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth, to create affirming spaces for LGBTQ youth.

As a Program Officer for the Technical Assistance Team, Eziah fosters youth leadership to directly inform local strategies to end youth homelessness. They are also a public speaker, facilitator, and organizer who has presented at national conferences and has received awards by local organizations for their activism. Eziah’s passion for social justice is fueled by the famous Audre Lorde quote “When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”

Outside of work, Eziah is a poet and spoken word artist, lyricist and vocalist known as Black Bear Extraordinaire. They also enjoy cooking and eating steak, watching TV shows with their wife, and playing video games.
