Pronouns: they/them/theirs pronouns non-negotiable

Justina Burton, born and raised in the South Park/Sunnyside neighborhoods of Houston, Texas, comes to True Colors United from Richmond, Virginia with a background in providing direct services to queer youth and young adults experiencing housing instability. Justina has created and facilitated support groups centering queer BIPOC youth both in-person and online. As an activist and creator, Justina approaches this work with humility, seeking to not only reveal the deep roots of white supremacy and its long-lasting impact on the lives of BIPOC youth but to partner alongside them to create tangible practices and solutions that will dismantle white supremacy as a barrier to their joy and healing.

In addition to their activism and advocacy, Justina enjoys producing music, expressing their humor through art zines, and teaching youth music production. When Justina isn’t working they’re chillin with their wife and two dogs (Sosa and Asami), freestyling poorly, and attending youtube university.
