Since September of last year, Christa has shined in her role of Community Organizing Intern, playing an instrumental role in the development of our Youth Count Tool Kit and demonstrating creative vision in the production of our “Everyone Has A Role to Play” video series. In her new role, Christa will lend her interest in public policy to further our government advocacy work, and grow our giving program to provide people with fun new ways to support our work.

“I’m excited to work with a fantastic team of leaders, innovators, and collaborators on an issue so important to the LGBT community,” Christa said. “I have so much to learn form my colleagues at the True Colors Fund and I’m looking forward to starting a movement with them.”

Christa recently received her MSW from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College’s community organizing program. She is committed to advancing social justice and promoting social reform through macro social work and policy advocacy. Prior to school, Christa was in the Peace Corps where she spent two years perfecting her chopstick skills in China.

Welcome, Christa! All we can say is…
